Vehicle Eligibility

A vehicle is eligible for registration under IRP if the vehicle:

Manitoba's "Apportioned Vehicle Manual" contains information for registering commercial vehicles under the International Registration Plan. The manual describes how IRP works, the types of vehicles that are in the program as well as those that are exempt from IRP. It discusses IRP prerequisites such as fuel tax registration, operating authorities and insurance. The manual also contains information on Manitoba's prorate vehicle tax, record keeping requirements by carriers and associated audits.
