More than 2,000 claims have been reported to MPI following severe weather on July 5. To help
provide customers with local support, MPI is deploying its dedicated hail trailer and increasing
mobile estimating services in the Boissevain and Killarney communities.
MPI’s mobile hail trailer will be set up at the Boissevain AG Arena (689 Rae Street) and MPI
estimators will be on site in Killarney at the Royal Canadian Legion (112 Finlay Street East)
beginning Monday, July 13 to serve customers who have already opened a claim and booked an
appointment with MPI.
Customers who have yet to open a claim can do so by reporting online or by calling our Contact
Centre at 1-800-665-2410. Customers who have already opened a claim with MPI are being
contacted directly to discuss their options.
MPI anticipates this increased support will be available in the region for at least the next month.
Over 30,000 claims have been opened with MPI in the last month related to severe weather
across the province. MPI continues to encourage customers to open their claims as soon as
possible to help us fully understand the overall impact of these weather events and how we can
prioritize supporting customers.
MPI understands the impact these storms have on our customers and the disruption they can
cause in their lives. We continue to focus our efforts on serving and supporting our customers
during this challenging time.
