MPI’s Road Safety Strategy 2030 – Safer Roads: A Shared Journey (RSS 2030) is a five-year plan to reduce serious injuries and fatalities on Manitoba roads. It’s grounded in collision data, our responsibility as a public auto insurer and what Manitobans told us matters most to them about making our roads safer.
Road safety is a shared responsibility. Every driver, cyclist, motorcyclist and pedestrian plays a role in preventing serious injuries and fatalities on our roads. RSS 2030 reflects collaboration and one of MPI’s largest engagement efforts in its history. Nearly 3,000 and more than 65 organizations shared their time, experience, and perspectives to help shape this work.
RSS 2030 aligns with Vision Zero principles of working to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all. It is also aligned with the goals and objectives of Canada’s Road Safety Strategy 2035+.
