Buyer
Work Location: Winnipeg

The Buyer acts as an agent of the Corporation for the procurement of goods and services and is responsible for purchasing commodities and/or services. Responsibilities may include planning, requisition review, supplier selection, order placement and expediting, follow-up, payment, tracking and maintaining of databases. The work is both technical and administrative in nature and requires an understanding of the processes of purchasing.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Grade 12
  • PMAC Level 2
  • Experience:
  • 2 years related purchasing experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of goods and services procured
  • Strong organizational, time management and negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in an ever changing environment
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations due to deadline driven environment

Purchasing Agent
Work Location: Winnipeg

To act as legal agent of the Corporation for the procurement of all goods and/or services required in maintaining operational and informational requirements of the Corporation.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • University degree
  • Two (2) years direct purchasing experience
  • Enrolment in PMAC
    - or-
  • Grade 12
  • Four (4) years direct purchasing experience
  • Completion of Level II in PMAC
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in ever changing environment
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations due to deadline driven environment
