Human Resources Assistant
Work Location: Winnipeg

Responsible for providing support functions for the Staffing/Compensation Unit, including updating all computer and manual records relating to applicants, employee records, performance reviews/increments, pay plans and job evaluations. Receives customers at reception area and assists them. Work is performed with a high degree of confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school graduation
  • Secretarial training would be a definite asset
  • Experience:
  • Three years secretarial/office experience, extensively using word processing and other PC applications. Experience using a HR/Payroll system would be a definite asset
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Typing 60 wpm
  • Ability to prepare presentations using current technology an asset
  • Familiarity with employee benefit plans an asset
  • OR an equivalent combination of the above

Human Resources Generalist
Work Location: Winnipeg

Under the general direction of the Compensation Officer, is responsible for providing Staffing and Compensation services to clients within a designated area. May also be responsible for performing specialty duties such as administering the performance management system, participating in and analyzing salary surveys, coordinating corporate participation in external programs like work experience and career days and participating in HR related projects and planning.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Completion of HR Certificate Program CHRP Designation is desirable
  • Completion of an Undergraduate Degree related to Human Resources
    -or-
  • Six years experience in Human Resources including three years at technical/professional level
  • Three years technical/professional experience in Human Resources
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Proven analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet software
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation, salary analysis, employment legislation, staffing/recruitment processes, employment benefits and performance management, employment legislation, staffing/recruitment processes, employment benefits and performance management

Training and Development Officer
Work Location: Winnipeg

Under the direction of the Staff Development Consultant (Corporate Training), the incumbent plans, coordinates, ensures delivery of and evaluates Corporate Training courses; and assists with the design and delivery of selected in-house courses. The incumbent provides confidential counselling services to staff, and participates in the development of human resource policies. The incumbent assists in the development and implementation of Organizational Development projects at the Corporate level.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline), or Certificate in Adult Education and Management Studies Certificate
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience administering training and development programs, or other multi-faceted projects/initiatives
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Superior interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training courses and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects effectively
  • Computer literate in word processing and databases
  • Ability to supervise staff

Training & Development Support Clerk
Work Location: Winnipeg

Provides administrative and secretarial support. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining and supporting databases and software, record keeping, setting up training facilities and equipment, typing, scheduling meetings and training courses.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduation
  • Experience:
  • One year experience in an administrative capacity
  • Special skills and/or requirements:
  • Demonstrated keyboarding skills (approx. 60 wpm)
  • Working knowledge of audio/visual equipment
  • Proficient in applicable office software and computer systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service & problem solving skills
  • Knowledgeable with storyboarding (Corporate & IT Training)
