RECIPES


500 ml (2 c) water
60 ml (1/4 c) sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
500 ml (2 c) pineapple juice
250 ml (1 c) orange juice
60 ml (1/4 c) lemon juice
400 ml (28 oz.) 7 Up
2 trays of ice cubes

Simmer cinnamon sticks and sugar in water for 10 minutes. Cool, then discard sticks. Chill remaining ingredients. Combine sugar with fruit juices in a large bowl. Slowly pour in 7 Up. Makes 2 litres (2 qt.). Garnish the bowl with lemon and orange slices and top with maraschino cherries and mint leaves.


1 litre (1 qt.) chilled apple juice
60 ml (1/4 c) lemon juice
400 ml (1 - 12 oz. bottle plus 1 pint) club soda
8 strips of lemon peel

 

Combine apple and lemon juice. Take eight - 4 oz. glasses and fill halfway with soda. Top up with apple-lemon juice. Serve with a strip of lemon over the edge of the glass.

Serves 8.


125 ml (1/2 c) unsweetened pineapple juice
60 ml (1/4 c) cream of coconut (canned)
30 ml (3 tbsp.) heavy cream
250 ml (1 c) crushed ice
Pineapple slices or sticks
Fresh mint sprigs

Mix together pineapple juice, cream of coconut, cream and some of the crushed ice until smooth. Add remaining crushed ice. Pour over more crushed ice in two 10 oz. highball glasses or serve the drink in coconut halves. Garnish with pineapple and mint. Serve with straws. Makes 2 servings.


1 litre (1 qt.) cranberry juice or
1 litre (1 qt.) raspberry drink
1 litre (1 qt.) apple juice
One 2-litre bottle (2 qt.) Diet 7 Up
Ice cubes

Mix all ingredients together in a large punch bowl. Add ice cubes jus before serving. Garnish with lemon slices.


1.4 litre (1.5 qt.) cranberry juice
1 litre (1 qt.) unsweetened orange juice
15 to 30 ml (2 to 4 tbsp.) almond extract
2 litres (2 qt.) ginger ale

Chill all ingredients for at least 3 days. Combine the juices in mixing container and add almond extract to taste. Refrigerate at least 3 hours until needed.


375 ml (1-1/2 c) sugar
375 ml (1-1/2 c) water
1 litre (1 qt.) orange juice
1 litre (1 qt.) grapefruit juice
200 ml (3/4 c) lemon juice
1.4 litre (48 oz.) pineapple juice

Boil sugar and water for 5 minutes. Cool, then add juices. Chill thoroughly. Serve in punch bowl with an ice ring made by freezing water in ring mold. Ginger ale or 7 Up can be used in place of water. Makes 30-32 servings.


In a pitcher, combine in the following order:

Raspberry Koolaid or cocktail
Layer of crushed ice
Unsweetened pineapple juice
Layer of crushed ice
Peach juice or crystals
Layer of crushed ice
Fill to within 1 or 2 inches from top with ginger ale.

Carefully pour grenadine syrup combined with fresh lemon juice over ginger ale in pitcher. Using a long straw, poke holes into layers of juices and ice so that grenadine flows into the holes. Let contents of pitcher sit 5 - 10 minutes in fridge. Pour into glasses garnished with a slice of orange or lemon. Enjoy!
