Manitoba Public Insurance is encouraging customers to call as soon as possible if they haven’t yet reported claims or had their vehicle’s damage assessed following the August 9 hail storm.
“With most of the estimating completed, we plan to close down the catastrophe hail claim centre soon,” says Parkland Regional Manager Jeff Sass. “We’re asking customers to report claims before the centre closes to ensure they can be processed as quickly as possible.”
Customers can call 1-800-665-2410 to make an appointment to have their vehicles assessed. The line is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Manitoba Public Insurance opened the catastrophe hail claim centre at the Dauphin Rotary Arena on August 15. Staff from across the province have been working extended hours to process claims and help the community get back on its feet. The centre has been processing about 400 vehicles per day.
