Stay alert on Thanksgiving weekend
Thanksgiving usually includes turkey, stuffing and afternoon naps. It's also a time when people travel to visit with loved ones.
With an increased number of vehicles on the road on long weekends, speeding and impaired driving become even bigger problems.
According to Manitoba Public Insurance statistics, from 2005-2009,
543 people were injured in traffic accidents on Thanksgiving weekend.

To help keep you safe on the road, law enforcement agencies will be carrying out Operation Impact - checking for impaired driving and other dangerous driving behaviour.
