3 tips to prepare your vehicles for a flood
Is flooding expected in your area this spring? Here are a few things you should do to protect your vehicles.
1 Relocate your vehicles
Move all vehicles away from the flood zone to prevent costly water damage. Flood waters can damage your vehicle’s electrical system and major components, including anti-lock brakes and air bags.
2 Don’t forget about stored vehicles
Stored vehicles such as trailers, snowmobiles and ATVs are also at risk. They should also be moved, along with any vehicle parts—such as tires—to prevent them from being damaged.
3 Review your Autopac policy
Before moving vehicles, ensure you have all the necessary permits and insurance coverage.
For specific information about your coverage and steps that can be taken to protect vehicles, contact your Autopac agent or call 985-7000 in Winnipeg or 1-800-665-2410 outside Winnipeg.
