You're in a collision. What do you do?

Knowing what to do in the event of a collision is the best way to be prepared. If you find yourself in a fender bender, here are the steps to follow:

Make sure everyone is safe

Your first priority is to get help for anyone who may be hurt.

Pull over

If possible, pull over to the shoulder or curb lane, put your hood up and turn your flashers on to prevent secondary collisions.

Exchange information

Exchange names, contact information, driver's licence and plate numbers and their expiration dates, vehicle make and model, insurance policy numbers and the vehicle owner's name and address(if the driver is not the owner).

Write it down

Record the:
