Going out on an ATV? Ride smart, ride safe.
Take a few minutes to review these important tips.
Do a pre-ride inspection:
- check tires and wheels for pressure and for damage;
- check headlights, tail lights, switches and other lights;
- check fluid levels, throttle cable, brakes and chassis.
Suit up with protective clothing and an approved helmet.
When riding:
- don’t drive while impaired;
- ask permission before riding on someone else’s property.
Ensure you read the instruction manual and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and maintenance of your ATV.
