There are plenty of reasons not to drive after you’ve been drinking. The most important one – you could lose your life or take someone else’s. Here are a few more reasons not to drink and drive.
The penalties for driving drunk in Manitoba are severe. You’ll be fined, and possibly jailed. You could lose your licence and your vehicle. Stop to consider how all of this would impact your personal and professional life.
That’s why it’s important to make a plan not to drive at all if you’re socializing includes booze. That plan could include booking a taxi ahead of time or arranging for a sober friend to drive. You could also consider using a program that takes you and your car home. It’s a convenient way to stay safe because there are no excuses for impaired driving.
If you’ve been drinking you’re less likely to make a logical decision on your ability to drive home.
