Child Car Seats
Child car seats can significantly reduce the chance of your child being hurt or killed in a collision.
Unfortunately, most child car seats are used incorrectly.
Common errors include not tightening the seatbelt or harness enough, or not using a tether strap properly when required.
It's also important to make sure you're using the right seat for your child's age, height and weight.
A car seat will absorb some of the impact of the crash and distribute it over the areas where your child is strongest and can best withstand the force.
In a collision, the safest spot for your child is in a car seat in the middle of the backseat.
You can have your child car seat checked to make sure it's installed correctly and being used properly.
