What You're Bidding On
- Salvage items are typically damaged
goods. Manitoba Public Insurance doesn't warrantee or guarantee salvage in any way, including
accuracy of odometer readings, year, make and model or mechanical condition.
Salvage is offered for sale as is and where is. All Sales
Are Final!
- "Parts only" salvage vehicles are
exactly that. They can never be registered for use on public roads,
anywhere. They cannot be operated displaying a "D" or "R" plate or
any temporary certificate.
- Vehicles with cosmetic damage only—i.e. damage that does not render the vehicle unsafe, structurally or
mechanically, (hail, theft, etc.) are designated as "salvageable with exception",
and do not need a Body Integrity Inspection Certificate (BIIC) to be registered.
However, they will require a Certificate of Inspection (COI).
- We can't guarantee we'll have keys
for the vehicle you've bought—if we have the keys, we'll give them to you
with the bill of sale after purchase.
- Confidentiality prevents us from giving
out the previous owner's name or any information about that person's claim.
- We guarantee that any registered lien
outstanding on your purchase will be discharged.
How and When to Pay
- Pay by cash, certified cheque, debit
card, VISA, or MasterCard. Any bank verification fee for cheques will be
added to the purchase price.
- Bidders who have bought on pre-arranged
credit must meet the terms and conditions of their Credit Sales agreement
with Manitoba Public Insurance.
- Full payment required by 4:30 p.m.
the day of the auction, both in Winnipeg and Brandon.
- Bidders who don't meet these conditions,
forfeit their $400 deposit.
