Who, Where, and When One Can Bid

wrecked vehicleBidders must be 18 or older--picture ID may be required.

Bidders must be registered for the auction and have a bidding number--As of April 2, 2011 this requires a $400 deposit by cash, VISA, MasterCard or debit card.

 

Bidding takes place at the following locations:

1981 Plessis Road in Winnipeg
Each Wednesday starting at 10:00 a.m. - phone 204-985-7844

731 1st Street in Brandon
One Thursday each month starting at 11:00 a.m. - phone 204-729-9429

Preparing for the Auction

  1. Examine the vehicle or other salvage item beforehand, to make sure it's what you want. You can view salvage on auction days--which are Wednesdays in Winnipeg-- from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. In Brandon, viewing during auction week is at Accel Towing, 940 Douglas Street Brandon MB, R7A 7B3, Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:30 a.m. until auction time at 11:00 a.m.
  2. Register for the auction and get a bidding number. A $400 deposit by cash, MasterCard, VISA or debit card is required--refunded to you if you don't buy anything. Manitoba Public Insurance keeps the deposit if a bidder cancels a purchase or doesn't meet payment requirements.
  3. Give us written authorization beforehand, if you're a permanent bidder, and you wish another bidder to replace you at the auction.
