This section offers various services including registration of all commercial vehicles and inter-jurisdictional carriers registered under the International Registration Plan (IRP); the issuance of Dealer and Repairer plates; wrecker permits and interim registrations.
International Registration Plan (IRP) is a vehicle registration system for trucks and buses operating inter-jurisdictionally between Manitoba and other provinces or states throughout North America. To determine if your vehicle is eligible for registration under IRP click on eligibility criteria for IRP.

An estimated distance chart and worksheet are also available.
Applications for processing amendments, additions or deletions of vehicles or fleets within IRP can be handled with two basic application forms described in the IRP Manual. Copies of the forms can be downloaded by clicking on vehicle form and/or fleet form.

Transactions for existing fleets are handled at all of our Service Centre locations.
Non-IRP Commercial Vehicle Registration
Public Service Vehicles (PSV) and Public Service Vehicle Trailers operating solely within Manitoba can be registered at Winnipeg, Brandon, Dauphin, Thompson, Portage la Prairie, Steinbach and Winkler.

*Initial applications for Dealer and Repairer permits are handled through the Winnipeg office.
