Operation Donation Food Drive 2012
for Winnipeg Harvest

Welcome to Operation Donation, an annual Winnipeg Harvest food drive led by Winnipeg schools that also sees Manitoba Public Insurance, Peak of the Market, The Manitoba Teachers' Society and Canada Safeway working together to help replenish Harvest and regional food banks low-stocked shelves.

When is the 2012 food drive?

Operation Donation 2012 runs from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2.

What can your school do to help?

Here's how to involve your school:

• Register your school's participation by filling out and submitting the online registration form.
• Promote the event to your student body and teachers.
• Collect food and cash donations between Feb. 27 and Mar. 2.
• Prepare your donations for pick-up by Winnipeg Harvest between Mar. 5 and 16.
• Have student and teacher representation at the Mar. 20 media event.

Schools outside of Winnipeg can also participate by collecting food and cash donations for their local food bank. Contact Charlene Sinclair, Development Associate at 982-3670, for a list of food banks in regions throughout Manitoba.
