Are you still a safe driver?
We all know that aging can affect our ability to drive, but older drivers can still be safe drivers. Here are some behaviours you should watch for if you’re over 55.
Intersections bother me because there is so much to watch from all directions. |
I find it difficult to decide when to join traffic on a busy highway. |
I think I am slower than I used to be in reacting to dangerous driving situations. |
My thoughts wander when I am driving. |
I check with my doctor or pharmacist about the effect of my medications on driving ability. |
My children, other family members or friends are concerned about my driving ability. |
How many traffic tickets, warnings, or “discussions” with officers have you had in the past two years? |
How many accidents have you had during the past two years? |
If you ticked the answers next to the circle symbols, chances are you’re a safe driver.
