Helmets

Studies show that an approved helmet when worn properly can reduce the risk of sustaining a head injury by 85%.

“I always wear my helmet, not only when I’m play football but when I’m cycling with my family too,” says Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Chris Cvetkovic. “Reduce your risk and wear a helmet each time.

Wearing a helmet is mandatory by law whether you’re on a snowmobile, motorcycle or ATV.

Select an approved helmet that fits snugly but not too tight. It should not move on your head without your skin moving. The helmet should not affect your vision.

When wearing a bicycle helmet you should be able to fit two fingers above your brow line so the helmet is level. The “Y” side strap should come to a “V” point just below your ears, and you should only be able to fit one finger between your chin and the chin strap.

Be safe, protect yourself and wear a helmet.
