Confusing Intersections

There are a few intersections around the city that cause some confusion regarding turns. Here are some examples:

On Jubilee at Osborne, there is a separate set of lights for traffic turning right.  Can you turn right on a red light here?

Usually, if a right turn on red is prohibited, there will be a sign to that effect.  There are two lanes of traffic turning, so is a right turn on  red safe?  Probably not!

On Fermor at Dunkirk, there are also two lanes of traffic turning and if you’re in the curb lane, you may not be able to see traffic approaching from your left.  Turning right on red here may be unsafe.

Here’s another one—turning left off Bishop Grandin at River Road.  You’re faced with a red light and a stop line before the second part of the street.  This isn’t just a wide boulevard. To be safe, the eastbound and westbound parts of Bishop Grandin at River Road should be treated as two separate intersections.
