Class 5 Learner's Licence > Cancellation
Driver Education instructors may cancel a Class 5 Learner’s Licence for a student who is less than 16 years of age and exhibits poor behaviour or has not satisfied all course requirements.
Under the Drivers and Vehicles Act, the Register may cancel a Class 5L Licence if the person to whom it has been issued is less than 16 years of age and fails to:
- satisfactorily complete the required number of hours of practical instruction as outlined in the Driver Education Curriculum
- attend the prescribed number of classroom instruction hours as outlined in the Driver Education Curriculum
- successfully complete all course requirements
Parents/guardians may cancel a Class 5 Learner’s Licence for their son or daughter who is under the age of 18. For more information about how to cancel a Class 5L Licence please call 985-7000 or 1-800-665-2410 (toll free).
