Responsible for providing support functions for the Staffing/Compensation Unit, including updating all computer and manual records relating to applicants, employee records, performance reviews/increments, pay plans and job evaluations. Receives customers at reception area and assists them. Work is performed with a high degree of confidentiality.

Under the general direction of the Compensation Officer, is responsible for providing Staffing and Compensation services to clients within a designated area. May also be responsible for performing specialty duties such as administering the performance management system, participating in and analyzing salary surveys, coordinating corporate participation in external programs like work experience and career days and participating in HR related projects and planning.

Under the direction of the Staff Development Consultant (Corporate Training), the incumbent plans, coordinates, ensures delivery of and evaluates Corporate Training courses; and assists with the design and delivery of selected in-house courses. The incumbent provides confidential counselling services to staff, and participates in the development of human resource policies. The incumbent assists in the development and implementation of Organizational Development projects at the Corporate level.

Provides administrative and secretarial support. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining and supporting databases and software, record keeping, setting up training facilities and equipment, typing, scheduling meetings and training courses.
