Driver Education

Driver Education Liaison Officer
Work Location: Winnipeg

Reporting to the Driver Education Senior Program Delivery Coordinator, the incumbent is primarily responsible for co-ordinating training, monitoring, and evaluating Driver Education instructors and contracted commercial driving schools. The incumbent is also responsible for performing a liaison role with program delivery stakeholders province-wide, i.e. school divisions, high schools, commercial driving schools, auto dealerships, and instructors. In addition, the Liaison Officer is responsible for recruitment and selection of instructors.

Road Safety Issues Specialist
Work Location: Winnipeg

Reporting to the department manager, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, developing and managing the Corporation’s strategic responses to a specific portfolio of road safety issues, with the focus on reducing claims costs, as well as ensuring MPI satisfies its road safety research and education mandate.

The incumbent plans and conducts analysis to determine and resolve complex road safety problems, ultimately developing programs and initiatives that result in loss prevention. These programs and initiatives will, in many cases, impact external agencies and customers.

The issue specialist is also accountable for ensuring that the impact of these initiatives is measured, and for building support for these initiatives through effective liaison and negotiation with the Manitoba police system, government and other major stakeholders.
