Adjusting
Adjuster
Work Location: Various - Manitoba
Under general supervision, adjusts all types
of physical and property damage claims, in or out of province.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Completion of the Associate Adjuster Training Program (maximum
24 months).
- Total of four course credits (or degree/diploma and two
course credits) from:
- Insurance Institute
- Case Management Certificate Program
- or
- Community College Diploma in Business Administration or
a university degree and one year related experience in a technical,
non-trainee position.
- OR an equivalent combination of the
above
- Special skills and/or requirements:
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated
analytical and decision making skills
- Valid
Driver's Licence
Associate
Adjuster
Work Location: Various - Manitoba
Under close supervision and in a training
environment, adjusts all types of physical and property damage claims.
During a maximum 24 month period, is responsible for acquiring the skills
and abilities required for adjusting claims by successfully completing
a structured training program.
Qualifications:
- Education and
Experience:
- Grade 12
- Completion of the Associate Adjuster
Training Program (maximum 24 months).
- Four years of office experience, including
at least two years in an insurance policyholder service, underwriting
or claims environment
- Total of three course credits from:
- Insurance Institute
- Case Management Certificate Program
- or
- Community College Diploma
in Business Administration or a university degree.
- OR an equivalent combination
of the above
- Special skills
and/or requirements:
- Demonstrated oral & written
communications skills
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Successful completion of Associate
Adjuster/Medex Case Manager Qualification Test

Senior
Adjuster
Work Location: Various - Manitoba
Under general supervision, responsible for
adjusting physical and property damage or commercial claims originating
in or out of the province. Assists the Claims Supervisor and provides
back up in their absence and handles the more complex claims. May handle
Out of Province Accident Benefit Claims from multiple jurisdictions and
PIPP claims in rural offices. Handles subrogation on Out of Province
files.
Qualifications:
- Education and
Experience:
- Three years as an Adjuster
- Total of six course
credits (or degree/diploma and four course credits) from:
- Insurance Institute
- Case Management Certificate Program
- Management Studies Certificate
Program
- Supervisory Development Program
(In-house): five Level-1 courses equal one course credit
- or
- Community College Diploma in Business Administration
or a university degree and five years related experience in a technical,
non-trainee position
- OR an equivalent combination
of the above
- Special skills
and/or requirements:
- Demonstrated oral and written communication
skills
- Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills
- Valid
