Who can get the card?
All Canadian citizens residing in Manitoba are eligible for a Manitoba EDL or EIC, as described in the EDL and EIC Applicant’s Guide.
Examples of criteria that would make you ineligible:
- You are under 16 years of age
- You are 16 or 17 years of age and do not have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
- You are in arrears with respect to Family Maintenance payments
- You are subject to travel restrictions that prevent or disqualify you from leaving Canada
